Hello folks and welcome to my online portfolio!
Let Me Tell You A Little About Me…
My name is Dionne Hengen and I am currently wrapping up the last semester in obtaining my Bachelor of Education at the University of Regina. I specialize in the area of elementary education (kindergarten to grade eight) and hold additional training in three teaching areas: math, history, and English. I am an extremely positive individual and relate well to invidiuals of all ages! I am a high achiever and will stop at nothing to accomplish the very best I can. I am determined to become the best educator I can; I am fully dedicated to the teaching profession.
A Portfolio

Many of you may be asking: what is a portfolio? A portfolio is simply a method of showcasing your skills and abilities to others. You have most likely seen a portfolio as a binder which holds one’s philosophy of education, lesson plans, pictures, reference letters, certificates/accomplishments, and outstanding achievments. I too have my own “binder” portfolio which I use to showcase my teaching career yet I have decided to take my portfolio a step further so you can view my key skills and abilities whenever you would like!
On the top of this site, you will find tabs/pages which will take you to different areas of my portfolio. Below I will list each tab/page and provide you with a little detail on the information you can expect to find there:
My Philosophy of Education – I have provided you with a taste of my view on education. I have included my beliefs and attitudes towards the profession of education; this is a great page to read as it will give you a better understanding of who I am as an educator!

Success Stories – Here I have outlined some of my accomplishments and outstanding achievements, that have occured throughout my life and in my past teaching experience.
